Do not build these

These used to work. They are off on purpose.

Infested and Oozing farms

Infested is cleared on every mob, passive and hostile. No silverfish from potion farms — including snow-golem / zombie XP farms.

Oozing is cleared on snow golems and other cheap farm mobs. No slimes from snow-golem farms. Trial-chamber hostiles that spawn with Oozing still keep it.

Indoor snow golem over water between two brewing stands. This Infested XP farm no longer works.
Infested snow-golem XP farm — broken.
Outdoor snow golem on a stone tower over water, hoppers and magma. This Oozing slime farm no longer works.
Snow-golem slime farm — broken.

World border

You cannot leave it. Step outside and you are put 2 blocks back inside after 2 ticks. Elytra, boats, and pearls too.

Claims past the wall are revoked. Do not build there.

Live map: a claim beyond the world border marked removed.
Claim outside the border — revoked.

Wind charges in claims

They do not pulse redstone inside a claim. Wilderness is unchanged.

October 2026

5 Oct — Film a spot

Stand where you want the next video to look, facing that way, and type /film or /film castle roof. That saves the spot, your look, and a short note. One spot each. Marking again moves it. /film clear removes it. You do not have to stay on.

It is not on the public map, and it does not pay you. If the note starts with next, back, done, clear, or mark, use /film mark. Notes longer than 40 characters are cut. Full notes: wiki.

September 2026

26 Sep — Wither fight and claim trust

A wither cannot be summoned inside a claim, or within two chunks of one. The three skulls are given back. Summon it in the open.

Soul Surge now happens at 75%, 50% and 25% health. Each one is a short charge while the wither cannot be hurt, a shockwave, twelve wither skeletons that do not drop skulls, then six waves of charged blue skulls. One hit that crosses several of those lines only fires the lowest one.

At 5% it uses Soul Collapse instead: it pulls nearby players in and fires a ring of charged skulls outward. No skeletons. Explosions and those charged skulls still break blocks inside claims.

Stand in a claim and /trust region <player> lets that player build on every connected chunk of it. /trust region <team> does the same for the team, at recruit and above. A base that does not touch this one is not included. /untrust region takes it back. /trust <name> is still one chunk.

/claimflags is three rows: Visitors (doors, buttons, chests), Building, and Protection (explosions, liquids, fire, pistons). Green on the first two means anyone. Green on Protection means that thing is blocked. It still changes only the chunk you are standing in. See Your first claim.

The live map shows who is online again. Staff using /inspect stay hidden. An open contract also shows an unnamed meeting-spot pin, coloured by the seal. No player names. The pin goes away when the scroll is handed over.

24 Sep — Sealed scrolls stay in your inventory

While you are delivering a sealed scroll it has to stay in your inventory. You can drop it and pick it back up. Nobody else can pick it up. It cannot go in a chest, a bundle, an ender chest or a team vault, and /vault, /team vault and /enderchest are refused while anyone is holding one. Details at wiki.architectmc.club/contracts.

24 Sep — Contract strikes

Taking a sealed scroll from the board and binning it — dropping it and walking off, stashing it in a chest for 10 minutes, burning it, letting it despawn — now costs a strike. The board refuses you a new scroll for 3 hours the first time, then 6, 12, 24 and 48 hours for each strike after. Seven days without a new strike forgives one. Dying with a scroll never counts, and neither does declining a contract you were handed. /contracts now shows your standing (Trusted, Good, Shaky, Unreliable), how long the board is closed if it is, and what the next strike would cost.

The meeting spot ignores height, and if the recipient is standing inside a claim it moves to the nearest unclaimed chunk instead of sending you into a base. Within about 6 chunks, you and the recipient see a tall column of end-rod particles. The board also shares scrolls out: someone who already accepted one today, or already has one on the way, is picked after everyone else nearby. /inspect is refused while you carry a sealed scroll. Details at wiki.architectmc.club/contracts.

23 Sep — Contract scrolls

A contract board (a lectern) stands at spawn. Right-click it for a sealed scroll addressed to another player, then walk it to them: your compass points at the meeting spot and a bar above the hotbar shows the distance and direction. /tpa, /home, /warp, /spawn and /back are refused while you carry one; boats, horses, carts, portals, pearls and gliding are fine. Hand it over at the spot for 3–12 levels and 5–20 Chronicle XP. If they are not there, right-click the ground to leave it and they collect it with /contracts collect.

Whoever receives it right-clicks to sign, does the task inside, and right-clicks again for the reward — levels, Chronicle XP and items that scale with the seal colour (grey, green, purple, gold). Handing in puts the next sealed scroll in your hand. Declining at the board costs nothing. Seven days in a row with a completion pays 8 shulker shells. Scrolls have their own icons on Java and Bedrock; rejoin once if yours still look like paper. /contracts help has the rules; full guide at /blog/contracts/.

22 Sep — Galactic Tablet painting

A new 2×2 painting: Galactic Tablet. Staff can /iaget architect_paintings:galactic_tablet and hang it on a wall. Rejoin once so the resource pack picks up the art.

21 Sep — Character cards

Your scoreboard profile can carry a character card. On your account, write a character name, ancestry, calling, nature, how they look, and their story. Open anyone on the scoreboard and their card is there, under the skin and the name.

This is only how you see your character. It does not change stats, items, claims, or the world. Leave it blank and the profile stays the scoreboard card it already was.

18 Sep — Furnace fix

Fixed a bug where a heavily used furnace, smoker, or blast furnace would burn fuel and fill the arrow but never finish smelting (players saw stone that would not come out). The trigger was the stored-XP cap corrupting the furnace once it had banked 100 XP. Stuck furnaces recover on their own after the restart — no need to break and replace them. Speeds are unchanged: 2× cook, 2× burn, 100 XP cap per furnace.

18 Sep — Teams

Teams are live. Found one with two friends and 64 diamond blocks: /team create FIS <friend1> <friend2>, both must /team accept — the blocks are taken only when the second one does. A 3-letter gradient tag on your name, team chat (/tc), a shared vault that grows with your tier (9 → 27 → 54 slots), friendly fire off, and one /team trust that covers the whole roster on a chunk you own. Caps: 3 members, then 9 and 27 as the team earns tiers by average advancements and playtime. Full guide: Teams.

17 Sep — Farms, border, wind charges

Reach on tools

Unique enchant, five levels. Each level lets you mine and place one block farther with a pickaxe, axe, shovel or hoe. Vanilla reach is 4.5 blocks, so Reach V is 9.5. Java only for the extra distance — Bedrock still uses vanilla reach. Look it up with /enchants.

The End is not opened yet

Stay out of the End portal. It is not open for play yet. When it is, this page will say so.

Market stalls

The 10×10 hall has 36 one-chunk shops (green) and roads (brown). Sign in with your Minecraft name, click a free stall on architectmc.club/market, then /plot tp in game. /market takes anyone to the hall. One stall each. It does not spend a claim slot and does not count on the scoreboard — Budka still owns the hall, you get build trust on that chunk. /plot leave (or Leave on the site) gives it up.

One website account

The same sign-in covers the whole site. Your name sits in the header with your Minecraft head; click it for your account — scoreboard place, stall, wiki identity, sign out. The scoreboard opens after you sign in, and wiki comments carry your in-game name.

Discord shows your in-game name

If your Discord is linked to Minecraft, your name on the ArchitectMC Discord is your in-game nick — or your IGN if you have not set one. Unlinked accounts are unchanged.

Votes grow the world

The world border now grows from votes only. Community level-ups no longer stretch it. Each vote still pushes Overworld, Nether and End out a little. Vote all four lists in a day for the usual bonus, including +1 claim chunk. See Vote and grow the world.

Optional trivia

From 12:00 to 22:00 UK, a Minecraft question appears in chat every ten minutes. Type the answer if you want. A correct guess pays a small vanilla gift, a little XP, and a bit of Chronicle community XP. Nobody has to play. /trivia tells you if a round is open.

Death chests

Die to the world (mobs, lava, a fall, the void) and your items go in a chest only you can open for five minutes. You get a Death Compass on respawn, plus the coordinates in chat. Java players see a timer above the chest; Bedrock does not, but the compass still works. XP comes back the first time you open it.

If another player kills you, loot still drops on the ground. One chest at a time. Nobody else can open it — not even in their claim — and it cannot be blown up or mined. When the timer ends, leftovers drop as items. Full notes: Death chests · wiki.

Shop labels and the enderman block dupe

Every shop within 16 blocks keeps a small label above the floating item, centred on the chest. XP bottles show who bottled them and how much XP. Enchanted books still show the enchant name and level.

Killing a levelled enderman that was holding a block used to drop extras of that block. It now drops the one block it was carrying. Ender pearls stay vanilla.

Shop holograms and custom trims

Shop holograms stay up above the floating item. XP bottles show who bottled them and how much XP, and enchanted books show the enchant name and level. You can put armour trims on custom sets; netherite-upgrading those pieces is still blocked. Death chests are covered in their own guide.

All-four vote bonus includes membranes

Finish every vote list in the same day and the bonus is now 4 diamonds, 16 waxed copper, 3 phantom membranes, and +1 claim chunk. See Vote and grow the world.

Gentler Nether near the centre

Nether portals sit on an 8× map. The hub around 0,0 (about 94 nether blocks — the same as the 750-block overworld starter) now uses the same weak Bronze mobs as world spawn. Further out, levels follow the overworld distance rings stretched by that 8×, so a portal at nether (x, z) feels like overworld (8x, 8z). Mobs already loaded keep their old levels until they despawn.

Scoreboard

The site has a ranked scoreboard. Rank is the average of play, building and gated firsts across 12 categories — time on the world, blocks, claims, levels, advancements, trivia. PvP, bosses and raids do not count. Claims only count live chunks. Names stay off the public page until you sign in. After that the list opens; a click shows the deed card and full-size skin. Java and Bedrock both work; Bedrock keeps the . prefix.

Community /report

/report <player> <reason> is live. It is not an instant ban. If enough of the people who are on right now agree, Mods and Helpers get a Discord embed: the name, every reason, and two buttons — Temp Ban (24h) or Dismiss.

Staff are pinged only when all three are true at the same time: at least four players online, at least three different reporters in ten minutes, and those reporters’ rank-weights adding up to at least half of everyone online except the accused. New 1, Regular 2, Elder 3, Legend / OG / Elite 4. You need two hours played. Staff cannot be reported this way — tell an owner.

Use it carefully. A lone report that nobody else joins, and then expires, is a strike on you. Three of those in a day and you get the 24h. Full grid: wiki rules.

No more fly in survival

/fly is gone for every rank. OG, Elite and Builder walk like everyone else. Staff who need to watch a player use /inspect <name> — vanished, off the tab list, hover that still hits walls. Right-click a chest for a read-only look; nothing is taken. Then /uninspect to go back.

More chest shops per rank

New players can make two shops. Regular three, then one more at each prestige step. See Chest shops.

Overlay menus — accept the resource pack

When you join, Minecraft asks you to accept the ArchitectMC resource pack. Say yes. Without it, /enchants, /armor and /ranks look like grey panes.

/enchants opens every custom book, sorted by group. Click a book for a larger view. /armor lists the custom sets (Wither, Flower, Potato, Dragon, Scuffite, Thunderstone, White). Click a set, then a piece, for the 3×3 recipe. /ranks shows playtime ranks and how many claim chunks each one unlocks. None of these menus give you the item — they are look-up only.

Held custom armour now shows its set bonuses on the item itself, so you do not have to open the menu to remember what a piece does.

The world is Normal

Difficulty is Normal, not Easy. Hostile mobs hit harder and raids are a real fight. Sleep the first night in a claim.

Raid farms, eight totems an hour

Each player can receive eight totems of undying per hour from raid evokers. The ninth is withheld. Woodland mansion evokers are not part of a raid and still drop a totem every time.

Hand a claim to another player

Stand in a chunk you own and type /claim transfer <name>. They have to accept, and they need a free claim slot. After the hand-off you two can claim next to each other on that plot (the gap rule still applies to strangers). /neighbour is the spacing-only invite for the two-chunk buffer — it does not let them build. /trust is still what lets a friend build on that chunk. See Your first claim.

Vote all four sites, get an extra claim

Finish every vote list in the same day and you get +1 claim chunk on top of your rank limit, plus 4 diamonds, 16 waxed copper, and 3 phantom membranes. It stays. Type /claimbalance to see used, remaining, and vote bonus. See Vote and grow the world.

The Wither is a boss again

Withers used to be farmed. Now they are fought.

Invisible item frames

Hold nothing, sneak, and right-click an item frame to hide the frame and leave the item floating. Do it again to bring the frame back. Works on glow item frames too. Rotating and placing items works as before when you are not sneaking.

Claims and trust

Trust is per chunk. Stand in the chunk and /trust <name> to let a friend build there; /untrust <name> takes it back. Keep two chunks between you and a stranger when you claim; your own claims can touch. /neighbour and /claim transfer are covered above. See Your first claim.

Live map

map.architectmc.club opens in flat view with claim outlines and owner names on. Pick empty land before you walk. See Read the live map.
